ALRIGHT. Can you believe it's almost 7th already? This year is going on fast as hell. And here's the ah... second important release of the year (first was autotunegirl's solo). ZE:A or Child Of Empire (name that I loved, they should have kept it) is finally debuting after many financial issues that put their label, Star Empire, dancing on the fire. Judging the songs themselves, there's nothing really new or fresh on their sound. It sounds like all the boybands now, autotuned and hot tracks. Don't expect something old school, this is just like 2PM and BEAST stuff. Again: I am not saying that they are no good, just saying that the songs have nothing new or especially noticeable, though I think they're catchy enough to bring some success to the group.

"Love Has Some Bitter Ends..." is Nadia's new digital single and the last one of a digital-single-trilogy. For those of you who still don't know what the heck is Nadia, they are an experimental/electropop group that debuted at SM Entertainment this year. You probably heard the girl's cover of Kara's "Mister" at Youtube already. "Love Has Some Bitter Ends..." goes to slower and more R&B-influenced songs than mind-blowing Electropop like "Twinkling Boy". The songs are sophisticated and delicate, with an amazing instrumentation that sounds like those New York indie artists or something like Little Boots (but in a very moderate way, don't jump off the bridge). Out of the three, my favorite is "missing U" with is pure candy to ears. Starts in a very slow tempo and ends powerfully. You need to listen to this, one day you'll need a breath of fresh air out of all the ridiculously autotuned and dance songs that K-Pop music industry always give to us.

YAY!! A 320KBPS VERSION OF Meisa Kuroki second mini-album, "ATTITUDE", is finally here. I haven't listened to the whole thing (the previous leak of the mini was EXTREMELY SHITTY because it was ripped from Yahoo.jp that offered the whole album for streaming so I did not listen to it) yet BUT I love "Are ya ready?", it's extremely addictive and the instrumentation is pretty cool. HELL YEAAAAH! The queen of J-Pop Ayumi Hamasaki's new single is out alreadey. "You were... / BALLAD" is a completely winter-themed release, from the gorgeous covers to the songs themselves. Title track "You were...", which is the Japanese theme for Disney Tinkerbell movie, sounds like a Christmas-influenced song but is still too similar to "Together When..." imo. The verses and choruses are beautiful but they're all very predictable, we know what will happen on the entire song. And that's why this remains as my less-played-new-Ayu-song, it feels a bit odd and dated after some plays. On other hand we have "BALLAD", a traditional and Enka styled song, which is full of awesome. More like an epic and classical version of "GREEN", but of course in a slower tempo. I love it a lot. "RED LINE - for TA" is amazing, her vocals sound very good (no endless vibratos!) and the arrangement sounds like a mix between "A Song for xx" and "Daybreak". Overall, it's a nice change from the first tracks. New versions of "You were..." (note that the vocals in this mix is different than the original one) and "Sunset - LOVE is ALL" are also damn good. Except for the main track, this single is A++ for your collection.
B2ST/BEAST releases a new single for the soundtrack of Attack The Gas Station 2.0 movie, "Crazy". Seems like the movie is really popular in Korea, it shall help to raise their popularity.
